Mission Statement

Chris Atwood’s Personal Mission Statement

My mission is to live life to the fullest through my friends and family, as well as to make a difference in my life, the lives of those around me, and my world.

To fufill this mission:

I create: I create opportunities for myself and others to reach the fullest potential personally and creatively.

I sacrifice: I sacrifice my time and talents to create the best possible friendships, experiences and professional works.

I impact: I have impact on the lives of those around me, and I pledge to make it a positive one.

I interact: I interact with people for pleasure and for business. I want to make that interaction the least complicated it can be while still accomplishing all intended goals.

I am goal-driven: I set goals, and I meet them. I will not put off today what can be done tomorrow, as long as the time and energy are available.

These roles take priority in fulfilling my mission:

Boyfriend/Husband – My husband or boyfriend will be the most important person in my life. I will hold my vows to him and love him with every fiber of my being. I will support him and his endeavors and hope to receive the same in return.

Eventual Father – I want to give my child (or children) everything (s)he needs to become a competent, loving, responsible adult. I want to teach them the values my parents gave me, as well as let them make their own mistakes to enhance their own learning.

Friend – My friends are my support system. I know that no matter what, they will be there for me. My goal is to treat them with respect, give them love and attention, and to assist them with their goals when I can.

Son – My parents gave me everything that turned me into who I am today. I want to repay them by always being “there” when I’m needed, and even when I’m not. They brought me up, fed me, clothed me and educated me. They have been there when I’ve needed them, and I will do the same for them.

Scholar – I love to intake information. I want to learn something new every day, whether it be a personal lesson, a life lesson, or a new skill that I can apply to my job or life. I want to research different areas of life and behavior, and share those findings with others.

Educator – At end, I have aspirations of teaching at the university level. I want to pass on my knowledge to students studying communications and business. I want to help them learn about their profession, their life, and anything else so they can grow to be successful individuals.

Innovator – Through being a scholar, I want to take that knowledge and bring new, innovative ideas to my field.

Practitioner – I have studied and practiced to become a communications professional. I want to practice and be successful in that practice by giving my all to whatever entity I am employed by.
